Weekly (on Thursdays)

  1. Board review - chapters from Grabb and Smith's Plastic Surgery
  2. Board review questions/CSAT

Monthly/Bi-Monthly

  1. Journal Club with plastics service and attending participation
  2. Core Quest
  3. Webinars
    1. Examples: Practice management, Lasers, Aesthetics
  4. Osler Board Review topics to be chosen by chief resident
  5. Stryker Plastic Surgery Hyerguide on-line program
  6. Synthes resident educational on-line program

Quarterly

  1. Combined Journal Club with general surgery and/or orthopedics including attending physicians
  2. City wide plastic surgery conference with guest lecturers including attending physicians
  3. Cadaver labs
    1. Example: flaps, aesthetics, wound closure

Bi-Annually

  1. Give M&M lectures at South Pointe Hospital
  2. House staff noon conference
  3. Teach skills labs to medical students and residents on wound care and wound closure
