Family Medicine Didactics
Throughout the 36 months of residency, a structured Didactic program is held every Tuesday morning. Major topics are taken from the goals and objectives as outlined in the Family Medicine curriculum. Journal Club and board review are also included in the weekly didactics. Swanson’s Family Practice Review: A Problem-Oriented Approach is the Board Review textbook that is used. An OMM lab is held on a monthly basis. Skills labs are also included in the didactic curriculum to review and practice common office procedures. These are held at South Pointe Hospital’s skills lab.
