When immediate medical care is a critical need, rely on the experience of the emergency department at South Pointe Hospital. Along with our satellite emergency department in Sagamore Hills, we care for over 44,000 patient visits each year. We act as medical control for 22 community emergency medical services to maintain quality care in the pre-hospital setting. Each emergency is handled by our board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses specially trained to treat any medical emergency.

 

Our modern emergency department features 25 treatment rooms designed to handle everything from minor illnesses and injuries, pediatric emergencies to trauma and orthopedic emergencies. The department's "race track" layout allows our healthcare professionals easy access to each private treatment room and enhanced patient privacy. Our newly designed Thru Care area, open 12:00 noon to 11:00 p.m. daily, enables us to expedite the care of those patients with minor illnesses and injuries.
