Community Mobile Health Clinic

Opened in November 1999, the Community Mobile Health Clinic is home to the Warrensville School Wellness Center. The center is designed to improve student learning by addressing the physical and behavioral health issues that interfere with wellness and the readiness to learn. The mobile clinic concept was developed by the Meridia-Warrensville Mobile Unit Task Force, a group comprised of key people from Meridia Health System, Warrensville Heights City Schools, the Warrensville Heights Board of Education and the community.

Caring for Warrensville Heights City School Children

Students are seen by a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Family Practice physicians and residents. Services include sports and work physicals, sick visits, diagnosis and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, and screenings for select health problems. We also provide assistance with chronic illness such as diabetes and asthma. A social worker is available to address emotional, substance abuse and behavioral issues.

Services in the mobile clinic are completely confidential and free of charge to all students in the Warrensville Heights City Schools with a signed parent/guardian consent form on file. No charges are made directly to parents/guardians for any health service provided.

Middle school and high school students have access to the Wellness Center during their school day. Parents/guardians are welcome to bring elementary school students to the center during school hours.
