Cardiac Rehabilitation ~ Building One

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a program designed to help patients quickly recover from heart problems and return to full, productive lives. Once an individual recovers from a cardiac episode, Cardiac Rehabilitation offers the expertise of an exercise physiologist and registered nurse utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation focuses on developing an individual's healthy lifestyle.
The two main components of cardiac rehab include:
1.) EKG-monitored and supervised exercise training that safely conditions your cardiovascular system, strengthens muscles, improves stamina and lowers your risk for developing heart problems.
2.) Education and counseling to help you understand your heart condition and find ways to reduce your risk of future difficulties.
Rehab and wellness plans are specially created for each individual, based on their ability and health status. Located adjacent to the Emergency Department, individuals have immediate access to emergency care.

Local residents enjoy the convenience of our on-site patient registration, laboratory testing and specimen collection capabilities. Many lab tests routinely ordered by physicians are processed on-site. For items not processed on-site, immediate courier service transports them to South Pointe Hospital for completion, or routes them to our reference laboratories for final results.

The Northeast Ohio Center for Osteopathic Research and Education (CORE) of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Student physicians learn the newest medical techniques and procedures while completing their third and fourth year of medical education.

Our physical, occupational and speech therapists work with patients to provide comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation programs.
