South Pointe Hospital is a not-for-profit institution that depends on the generosity of individuals, families, corporations and foundations to ensure its continued excellence in patient care and community outreach. Unrestricted financial support allows us to make the most effective use of our resources, helping us to meet current needs and priorities. At our hospital, our greatest source of unrestricted support is our Annual Fund. Donors’ contributions are recognized on a yearly basis by membership in one of our special annual giving clubs.
Annual Giving Clubs
Founder’s Club($1,000)
Benefactor’s Club($500 – $999)
President’s Club($150 – $499)
Friend of South Pointe Hospital(up to $149)
All of our Annual Giving Club members will be listed in our Annual Donor Report, receive various publications and invitations to hospital events, and will be listed on our beautiful donor recognition wall located in the hospital’s new main lobby.
Ways to Give
Each year, hundreds of our friends and neighbors share the gift of good health by making contributions to South Pointe Hospital. Some make unrestricted gifts that are used for the most urgently needed equipment, programs and services, while others support a particular program.
Gifts to South Pointe Hospital have a direct impact on the communities we serve; improving the health and well being of the thousands of patients and families we touch each year. As a donor to South Pointe Hospital, you have the knowledge that your gift makes a difference.
Here are just a few examples of how you can make a gift…
Gifts of Cash
Cash gifts, the most common form of giving, are as easy as writing a check or charging your gift to a credit card. (South Pointe accepts Discover, VISA, Mastercard and American Express.) You can deduct 100% of the gift amount from your federal income tax, so your net cost is less than the face value of the contribution.
Gifts of Appreciated Securities
Giving appreciated stocks and bonds is a wonderful way to support the hospital's programs. This type of gift usually qualifies not only for the income tax deduction associated with all charitable gifts, but also eliminates capital gains tax.
Planned Giving
Over the years, many South Pointe Hospital donors have included the Hospital in their wills and other estate plans.
For more information on giving opportunities, please contact the South Pointe Hospital Development Office at 216.491.7234. Donors may wish to combine outright and deferred gifts to fund their gift commitment. The development office is prepared to work with donors and their attorneys or financial consultants to assist with their philanthropic interests.
